Vista’s head social media coordinator Lauren Barnes looks at how to bring a little bit of countryside charisma to your home with a cottage-style front door.
As summer is here we all dream of a bit of outdoor living, and while most of us are living in the suburbs we shouldn’t let that hold back those dreams of living in a countryside cottage with flowers growing in fields on either side of us. The reality might be somewhat different but we have a choice of doors that can at least give us some illusion of that dream.
Our Cottage Diamond door would look right at home in any British village, it’s a charming and quaint design and with the option of specifying your own RAL colour you can go that extra mile to stamp your own individuality on there, whether that’s Pink or Olive Green.
One of our most popular door designs is the Cottage 1, with just a small glazing panel and the vertical grooves it has that fab farmyard appearance. This door style looks great in pastel colours like Chartwell Green or Duck Egg Blue and you can choose from a choice of hardware colours, such as black, to give it even more of a rural vibe.
We’ve also just added two new doors to our range, both channeling this popular trend using the vertical door style with small glazing apertures. Our Farmhouse Square door can feature gorgeous Georgian Bars within the glass to add some visual detail and give your house that sophisticated stable look. The alternative is a smaller square, again bringing that charming cottage feel to your house.
